TEC FirstFire Bi-Directional Jars
A downhole jar is needed at the end of an operation, not the beginning. That’s why the TEC FirstFire Jar is a bi-directional jar designed for tough milling applications and functionality after long wellbore exposure. The FirstFire shear ring ensures the jar remains in the closed position during standard milling procedures, then if required, an overpull will pop the mandrel free to begin jarring operations. This prevents unnecessary wear on the jar seals and broken down oils from ‘micro-jarring’ events caused by the extended reach tool or weight on bit.
